TWENTY YEARS AGO — Three members of the Natchez Track Club, Joseph Richardson, Jason Blowe and Christopher Shaw each have top-three finishes in respective events and will represent Natchez at the National Athletic Congress Track and Field Meet in Provo, Utah.
TEN YEARS AGO — After losing the first game of a doubleheader to the Memphis Tigers 8-3, the Miss-Lou Oilers salvage a split with a 7-2 win in extra innings thanks to the pitching of Rod Donald, a double by Jack McLemore and a 3-for-4 performance by Trey Welch.
TEN YEARS AGO — Thanks to two eagles and nine birdies, Gary Farmer and David Cothren shoot a round of 13-under-par 58 to share the first-round lead with Larry Davis and Paul Sparks at the Wharlest Jackson Elks Lodge No. 1675 Golf Tournament at Duncan Park.
