WESSON — For the third straight day, the entire first day of the Dixie Youth 11-year-olds District 6 District Tournament was rained out.

However, the tournament will not start today or even on Monday. Instead, it will get under on Tuesday. Natchez will take on the Lincoln County Americans at 6 p.m. Franklin County will take on McComb at that same time on another field and Wesson will take on the Lincoln County Nationals at 8 p.m.

Even though the rainouts have affected the start of the district tournament, Porky Smith with Natchez Dixie Youth Baseball said it will not have any affect on the state tournament because it does not start until July 27.
