Board should set aside time to hear concerns

Recently, I attended a Natchez-Adams School Board meeting. Several items were discussed such as the retirement of equipment and properties, etc. Although I appreciate the need to address these matters, I feel that there should be time allotted at each meeting to address citizens’ concerns.

I know that the board has a structured procedure in place to handle citizen concerns; however, often situations arise that may need to be voiced and addressed urgently. I think that it would be beneficial for the board to allot time at each meeting for such concerns, or hold town meetings on a quarterly basis to hear the concerns of the community.
