DENHAM SPRINGS, La. — Drew Quinney singled up the middle with the bases loaded to score Jonathan Porter for the winning run as the Tri-County (Texas) Babe Ruth All-Stars rallied for a 4-3 win over the Miss-Lou Babe Ruth All-Stars Friday morning.
Tri-County trailed 3-2 after five innings of play in the first round of this regional tournament, but tied the game at 3-3 with one run in the top of the sixth inning before scoring the winning run an inning later.

“Patrick McDonough pitched five innings and he struck out one,” Miss-Lou coach Eddie Brewer said. “They pitched three pitchers. They all went two innings.”
McDonough held Tri-County scoreless until they broke through for two runs in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2. Miss-Lou took the 2-0 lead with one run in the bottom of the first inning and one run in the bottom of the second.
Miss-Lou scored one run in the bottom of the fifth to regain the lead at 3-2, but Kolby Godfrey could not hold the lead for Miss-Lou in the final two innings.
Jordan Brewer went 2-for-3 with a double and one run batted in, Will Thomas had a double and an RBI, and McDonough drove in a run.
