MONTEREY — Services for Robie Paris Pecanty, 91, of Monterey, who died Monday, July 23, 2007, in Ruston, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Monterey Pentecostal Faith Temple Church with the Revs. Glen Massey and Cecil Grantham officiating.
Burial will follow at Paris Cemetery, in Monterey, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Pecanty was born Aug. 26, 1915, in New Era, La., the daughter of William and Beulah Belgard Paris. She was a cafeteria employee with the Concordia Parish School System. She was a member of Monterey Pentecostal Faith Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David “Bud” Pecanty; sisters, Olga Paris and Nell Hebron; and brothers, Wesley Paris and W.D. Paris.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernice White of Monterey; grandchildren, Debra Moore and husband, Bubba, and Donna Baldwin and husband, Jim, all of Ruston; great-grandchild, Bud Baldwin and wife, Robin, of Seabrook, Texas; brother, Carby Paris and wife, Jessie, of Ferriday; sisters-in-law, Annie Mae McNeely of Jonesville and Faye Paris of Wisner; brothers-in-law, Clyde and Kelly Pecanty, both of Monterey; numerous nieces and nephews.
