NATCHEZ — Memorial funeral mass for Clement Jules “C.J.” Beauvais Jr., 84, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 30, 2007, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Beauvais was born Oct. 23, 1922, in New Orleans, the son of Clement Jules and Edna Cecile Badeaux Beauvais Sr. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and Home Builders Association. Mr. Beauvais was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired after more than 50 years as a plumbing contractor for Premo Stallone Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Marie Stallone Beauvais of Natchez; daughters, JoAnne Cunningham and husband, Jack, of Terry, Cheryl Spence and husband, Richard, of Brookhaven, Kathy McKlemurry and husband, Joe, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Gayle McGilberry and husband, Matt, of Natchez; grandchildren, Adam Spence and wife, Katie, of Flowood, Katie Spence Pugh and husband, Eugene, of Halls, Tenn., and Jacob and Jordan Cowart, both of Natchez; great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Spence of Flowood and many loving and loyal friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to a charity of choice.
