FAYETTE — A Fayette man died early Sunday morning after his vehicle struck a concrete culvert and overturned.

Stanley Carradine, 32, 407 Church Street, was driving westbound on Mississippi 28 about three miles east of Fayette, Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Rusty Boyd said.

His 2006 GMC Envoy ran off the left side of the roadway, striking the culvert.

Carradine was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, Boyd said.

The accident occurred at 1:40 Sunday morning.
