Natchez native Rob Kuehnle will be signing copies of his new book “Kissing Babies at the Piggly Wiggly” Saturday from 3 to 5p.m. at Turning Pages Books and More located at 520 Franklin St.
This second book by Kuehnle using the pseudonym Rob Dalby is the enchanting sequel to “Waltzing at the Piggly Wiggly,” a Southern charmer about second chances in love and life and the odd-and oddly funny-events that bring people together.
“Kissing Babies at the Piggly Wiggly,” No. 2 in the Piggly Wiggly series by Dalby, could not have released at a better time with the action being centered on a quirky southern election. The fictional town of Second Creek is electing its mayor. The incumbent, Mayor Floyce Hammontree is being challenged by the former Piggly Wiggly owner and operator Hale Dunbar Jr., known by the former Piggly Wiggly patrons as “Mr. Choppy.”
Natchez residents will find it interesting to see some familiar names and streets in this Kuehnle/Dalbywork of fiction. This series will appeal to readers who enjoy the Ladies of Covington by Joan Medlicott and Miss Julia by Ann B. Ross.
Robert Dalby is the pen name for Natchez native and now Oxford resident Rob Kuehnle. To reserve copies for the signing call 601-442-2299.
