Jonesville native Chris Shivers gets strapped in and bucks up at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena today for the Chris Shivers Gerry Lane Pro Bull Riders Invitational.

Shivers is a two time PBR World Champion, won 17 major PBR event titles and earned over $3,000,000 in prize money.

Eighty of the PBR’s best bull riders will ride some of the toughest bulls around to earn a chance toward the World Finals in Las Vegas.

The event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. with doors opening an hour before.

Today is family day where children 12 and under get in for $5, other tickets range from $15-$60.

Tickets can be purchased at the Baton Rouge River Center Box Office and at all Ticketmaster Outlets.
