Your recent story reporting the election of Bruce Lewis as president of Ducks Unlimited was both timely and deserving. Timely because of the approaching duck season and deserving because of the many hours he spent as a volunteer worker, lending both his time and talents to D.U.

The chances of Bruce being elected were, by me, slim and none. Thankfully, I was wrong. As a voting member of Ducks Unlimited, I never thought I would live to see the day such as this….

Congratulations to Bruce and thanks to The Democrat for covering such a momentous occasion.
