ST. STEPHENS, Ala. — Graveside services for Leigh Van Hoose Sr., 89, of McIntosh, Ala., who died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Jackson Health Care, in Jackson, Ala., were 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Hooks Cemetery in Sunflower, Ala., with the Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating.
Burial followed under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home of St. Stephens.
Mr. Van Hoose was a World War II veteran. He worked as an operator with International Paper Company for over 30 years.
Survivors include a son, Leigh Van Hoose Jr. and wife, Sue, of Slidell, La.; daughters, Martha Rice and husband, Bill, of Natchez, and Virginia Kyzar and husband, Marc, of Jackson, Ala.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Van Sims, Russ Sims, Paul Van Hoose, Mike Rice, Earl Strong, Gene Harrell III, Gene Harrell IV, and Joe Harrell.
