WOODVILLE — Services for Woodrow E. Day, 90, of Crosby, who died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Field Memorial Community Hospital, in Centreville, will be 10:30 Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home, Gloster.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Day was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Wilkinson County, the son of Edward B. and Carol Cavin Day. He was a retired supervisor over the Dry Keels and Power House for Southern Lumber Company. He was a member of the Perrytown Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, M.E. McDaniels, May Bradley, Hazel Hughes, and Mildred Day; and brother, Andrew Day.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Murray Day of Crosby; daughter, Madlyn McCabe and husband, James L., of Winsboro, S.C.; granddaughters, Renee McCabe of Adams Run, S.C. and Ramona Mathews and husband, Eric, of Irmo, S.C.; great-grandchildren, James, Jessica, Caleb and Allison Mathews; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Bradley, Robert Bradley, Andy Day, Drew Day, Jimmy Bradley and Ken Murray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Bradley, Keller Greer, Ken Petty, Mike Perry, Bobby Johnson, Dr. Elwyn Cavin, Kevin Longmire and Paul Kughn.
