A Natchez teen was killed in a one car wreck on U.S. 84 about 8 miles east of Roxie Saturday morning, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reported Monday.

According to state police, 19-year-old Jacob Lafferty, 601 Oak Street in Natchez, was traveling alone eastbound on U.S. 84 around 9:30 a.m. Saturday when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The wreck involved no other vehicles. Lafferty had to be cut out of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
