Gregory A. Henderson, 20, from New Orleans, died on the scene from a gunshot wound, Mullins said.

David Smith, 21, 105 Jackson St., who ran out of the house when the shooting occurred, was shot at least twice in the arm, Mullins said.

Police have identified and are searching for a suspect but would not release the name.

At the scene, officers found roughly eight small bags of marijuana on the table inside the house, Mullins said. They also found two handguns inside the house and one shotgun in the front yard.

“(The shooting) involved either a previous, or last night, drug transaction,” Mullins said.

More information will be provided as it is released throughout the day.
