MINDEN, La. — Glenbrook scored all of its points in the first half as the Apaches, ranked No. 5 in Class A, rolled to a 28-0 win over the WCCA Rams in MPSA District 6-A action Friday night.
“Our defense struggled again, which put our defense in a bind,” WCCA head coach Sam Byrd said. “We had two goal-line stands. If they play the rest of the season the way they did in the second half, we’ll be okay.”
Byrd was referring to the Rams’ defense, which kept Glenbrook (3-0, 2-0) out of the end zone in the second half. WCCA fell to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in district play.
Glenbrook quarterback Jake Byrd threw one touchdown pass and ran for another score. Will Samuel returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown and Michael Ratcliff had an 18-yard touchdown run.
