FAYETTE — Services for Roosevelt “Cooter Moot” Williams Sr., 64, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Taylor’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mr. Williams was born June 18, 1943, in Jefferson County, the son of Mary L. Williams. He was also raised by his great-uncle, James “Danke” Williams Sr. Mr. Williams was a member of Masons Mount Valley No. 6.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaree Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Williams; daughters, Jacqueline Williams and Angie Collins and husband, Dwayne; sons, Gregory Frye and wife, Mandisa, Roosevelt Williams Jr., Anthony Williams and Terrance Williams and wife, Rosalyn; sisters, Willie Rankin, Thelma Polk and Diane Williams; brother, James McCoy; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
