NATCHEZ — The Mississippi Court of Appeals ruled today in favor of the mayor and board of aldermen’s 2005 decision to rezone the corner of Canal and Washington streets for Fat Mama’s Tamales.

The decision upholds a December 2006 circuit court ruling in favor of the city.

Restaurant owner David Gammill said he planned to start construction of the new building by the end of the year, at the latest.
