A law is on the books that states that when you move to Natchez and Adams County you have so many days to purchase your tags. It also states that when you apply for homestead exemption on your home, you submit all your tag numbers to the tax assessor.

Natchez and Adams County is losing thousands of dollars because of this not being enforced.

Numerous people are working, teaching and sending their children to public schools in Natchez and Adams County driving out-of-state and out-of-county tags.

I was informed that it is the duty of the police department and sheriff’s department to enforce this law. Why should we pay for high tags and others get a free ride?
