NATCHEZ — The ACCS Rebels’ schedule doesn’t get any easier this week. They hit the road to Monroe La., to face River Oaks at 7 p.m.
“They are a very talented ball club,” ACCS head coach Paul Hayles said. They didn’t have a good game last week.”
River Oaks’ record is 2-1 with their only loss coming to Riverfield last Friday night.
ACCS is still searching for their first win.
“We did some good things against Centreville,” Hayles said. “We have to stay consistent though.”
If ACCS wants to win, they will have to stop River Oaks’ run offense.
“They are a running team with a good line and excellent running backs,” Hayles said. “They have two wings that run very well.”
Hayles said they have to carry the momentum from last week into the game against River Oaks.
“I’m proud of our effort,” Hayles said. “All the kids work really hard. The results aren’t there yet.”
Hayles said the offense made progress last week and have been working to improve.
“This is still a young group and our fans know that,” Hayles said. “Our fans are the best and they support us.”
