SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A woman was arrested Thursday at an airport here after airport security officers discovered marijuana in the trunk of her rental car.

Elaine Cain, 45, of Branson, Mo., was on her way to return a rental car at the Regional Airport when an airport police officer stopped her vehicle at a routine checkpoint. While conducting a search of the vehicle’s trunk, the officer observed four pounds of suspected marijuana in plastic bags. He immediately notified Caddo-Shreveport narcotics agents.

Caddo-Shreveport agents responded and seized the marijuana, $1,700 in cash, and a small amount of cocaine from the interior of the car.

Cain was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
