FERRIDAY — Friday night’s Ferriday vs. Jena match-up will be played at Ferriday at 7 p.m.
The game originally was to be played at Jena but due to some concerns the decision was made to move the game over protests in the town Thursday.
“It was mainly for precautionary measures,” FHS Principal Michelle Bethea said.
FHS head coach Freddie Harrison stated earlier this week there were safety concerns from parents regarding the trip to Jena.
Thousands of people flooded the small town Thursday to protest the imprisonment of a black teen.
Ferriday is currently undefeated at 3-0 and coming off a big 18-16 win over Vidalia last week.
Jena has a record of 2-2. They rallied to knock off then No.7 Iowa High School 12-6 on Sept. 7 and dominated Block High School 37-6 last week.
