FERRIDAY — Services for Stella Till Buckles, 81, of Ferriday, who died Sept. 22, 2007, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Preston Holder and Gay Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Buckles was born Oct. 15, 1925 in Delhi, the daughter of John C. and Mary Wilkerson Till. She was a resident of Ferriday, a florist and a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James O. Buckles, daughter, Charlotte Youngblood, granddaughter, Kimberly Youngblood; and nine brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include sons Rayford Buckles and wife Gloria, both of Ferriday, Charles Buckles, of Baton Rouge; daughterm Mary “Liz” Moment of Monroe; brother Jack Till of Delhi; sister Florence Free, of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Randy Adams, Russell Till, Kenneth Squyres, William Seyfarth, Jimmy Davis and Randy Nugent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Huey Moak and Dr. Herman Gibson.
