TEN YEARS AGO — Jessica Walker goes 4-for-4 with a double and two triples as Natchez High defeats Jim Hill 24-3 in Game 1 and Belon Jones hits two triples and a home run as the Lady Bulldogs take a 26-6 win to improve to 6-12 overall and to stay undefeated in District 7-5A.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Sarah Riles strikes out eight and pitches a two-hitter as Jackson Prep defeats Huntington 10-1 in Game 1 of a doubleheader and Maribeth Willoughby strikes out 12 and pitches a one-hitter as the Lady Patriots complete the sweep of the Lady Hounds with a 1-0 win.
