WOODVILLE — Things weren’t looking too good for Wilkinson County Christian Academy at homecoming Friday night as it trailed winless Tallulah Academy 7-6 at halftime.
But the Rams scored 20 unanswered points in the second half and pulled away for a 26-7 win over the Trojans in an MPSA District 6-A game and kept their playoff hopes alive in the process.
While Trumaine Norwood had another solid performance with two touchdowns and 141 yards rushing on 15 carries, it was the defense which also came up big for the Rams on this night.

Davis returned his first interception 71 yards in the first quarter, but the Rams were unable to capitalize on the turnover. Davis’s second pick of the game was returned 74 yards for a touchdown as time ran out in the fourth quarter.
WCCA (4-2, 3-2) also had six sacks in the game by six different players.
