WOODVILLE — On Wednesday, Sept. 26, kindergarten through 12th-grade students met at the flag pole for the annual See You at the Pole devotion. Dr. Dick Whitaker led this time of Bible readings and prayer for our schools, our nation, our friends and our families.
WCCA had a fun homecoming week, but now is focused on studying for nine weeks tests.
Mrs. Liz McGraw’s Bible class not only studies the Bible, but does service projects also. Last Wednesday they went to PBM to help prepare food boxes for delivery.
Father Pat Smith from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church presented the devotion to the WCCA students on Monday, Sept. 17. He spoke about seeking wisdom from God.
WCCA is celebrating homecoming this week. A festive spirit filled the air as the students dressed up for different themes each day. Dress up week has included, Monday — twin day, Tuesday — character day, Wednesday — wacky day, Thursday — blackout day, and Friday — spirit day.
Friday will culminate the week’s fun with the homecoming parade at 12:30 p.m., homecoming court presentation at 5:45 p.m. and kickoff at 7 p.m.
Congratulations to the Lady Rams softball team for their second place victory at the district games. They represented the school in the South State Tournament at Franklin on Wednesday and Saturday.
WCCA students are selling candy and trash bags. Last year WCCA purchased 25 computers for our high school lab with the money earned.
