NATCHEZ — The second annual Battle of the River will be at the Adams County Christian School gym at 7 p.m.

Law enforcement and safety officers from the Natchez and Vidalia sides of the river will square off in a game of donkey basketball to help raise money for Relay for Life Team Nemo.

Sheriffs Ronny Brown and Randy Maxwell will coach the opposing teams.

The Vidalia team will include two sheriff’s deputies and two Vidalia Police Department officers, Team Nemo member Robert Pugh said.

The Natchez team will include two sheriff’s deputies and two Natchez firefighters, Pugh said.

Other local officials will rotate onto the teams as the game progresses, Pugh said.
