McCOMB — Services for Joseph Earl Walker, 80, who died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bouge Chitto, with the Rev. John Pratt officiating.

Burial will follow at the Shady Grove cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, at the Hartman Funeral Home in McComb.

Mr. Walker was born Oct. 21, 1926, in Bogue Chitto, the son of the late Willie Benjamin Walker and Flora Thames.

He moved to McComb after retiring from working 33 years at International Paper Company in Natchez.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his father, mother and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife Hilda of 62 years; his three children, Wayne and his wife Terry Walker, and Trish Walker, all of McDonough, Ga., and Kay and husband Mark Huntington of Kathleen, Ga.; and one grandson Douglas Walker, of McDonough.

Pallbearers will be Paul May, Mark May, John Jordan, Stuart Guy, Anthony Guy and Brad Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Walker, Mark Huntington and James Raeford.
