Thanks for a successful radiothon

As a former patient of the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, I have seen the hospital come a long way in the past 26 years. I was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis, a fatal genetic lung disease, and was transported over to the Children’s Hospital the night I was born where I received emergency surgery. I went on to spend the next eight months of my life in the Children’s Hospital. The doctors and nurses told my parents that I would not make it. I proved them wrong. The doctors and nurses at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children saved my life. This hospital is a very special part of my life along with the lives of many other Mississippians.
On behalf of anyone whose life has been changed because of the hospital and as an employee of the Blair E. Batson Hosptial for Children I want to say a special thank you to Rosco and Teri along with the whole staff of 95 Country radio station. Without your dedication to the Miss-Lou Miracles Radiothon, we would not have been able to raise more than $29,000 in three days.
Your help in making this Radiothon a success is helping build the new children’s emergency room and children’s clinics. Children’s lives are being affected each and every day by the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, and you are a reason why this hospital is able to save so many children’s lives such as mine.
From the bottom of my heart, I would just like to say thank you Miss-Lou for a job well done.
