EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. – Jackie Lamar Porter, 53, of Eureka Springs, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Eureka Springs Hospital.

Mr. Porter was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Brookhaven, the son of John Thompson and Virginia Ratcliff. He was a graduate of Vidalia High School. He was retired three months from employment with Dr. Minor Pace in Pearl.

Mr. Porter was an avid musician and loved riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Grace Knotts.

Survivors include his sisters, Delisa O. Smith and Diana Myers; nieces, Amy Knotts, Katie Keating and Robyn Basile; nephew, Justin Barlow; grand-nieces, Shelby Knotts and Brooklyn Surrena; grand-nephews, Matthew Knotts, Brady Keating and Coen Keating; and life-long soul mate, Kim Irby.
