TWENTY YEARS AGO — Six Natchez runners, Dr. Craig and Lynn Bradford, Chuck Caldwell, David Paradise, Dr. Ed Latham and Wayne Potter will test themselves when they compete in the New York City Marathon, the first marathon for Caldwell, Mrs. Bradford and Paradise.
TEN YEARS AGO — Despite blowing leads of 3-0 and 4-3, the Natchez High Lady Bulldogs somehow defeat the Cathedral Lady Green Wave 8-7 thanks to the bat of Kelly Fuller, who goes 2-for-4 and hits a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning. Both teams will be in the playoffs.
FIVE YEARS AGO — Despite throwing two interceptions, Patrick McDonough completes 7 of 13 passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns, one of them to Jesse Morrison, who has 11 carries for 94 yards as Cathedral’s junior high football team defeats St. Aloysius 22-0.
