NATCHEZ — A Natchez man who allegedly hit another man in the head with a brick was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault.

Delandro James Bell, 19, 17 1/2 Fourth St., was reportedly arguing with his stepfather, Fred Allen, 54, 17 Bishop St., on Oct. 5 and allegedly struck him in the head with a brick.

Allen was transported to Natchez Community Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Bell was arrested at his residence Tuesday. He is held at the Natchez City Jail on $40,000 bond for the assault charges and a $534 fine for contempt of court.
