TEN YEARS AGO — Natchez High senior wide receiver/kickoff returner Marco Minor is named The Democrat’s Player of the Week after returning kickoffs of 89 and 92 yards for touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 39-28 win over the Brandon Bulldogs to go to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in Region 3-5A.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Aaron Brooks completes 23 of 35 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns and adds a rushing touchdown during a 22-point fourth quarter as the New Orleans Saints rally from a 24-13 deficit to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 35-27 to improve to 6-1 on the season.
