A man in his mid-20s was shot once in the leg late Friday night.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of Grant and Claiborne streets at approximately 11:15 p.m.

Police Chief Mike Mullins said the man told officers he was walking home on Grant Street when someone came up and shot him.

No arrests have been made.
