Arts, crafts and gifts show this weekend

Tis the season to be jolly! Once again excitement of the holiday season is in the air in Natchez. The 20th Annual Natchez Fall Arts, Crafts and Gifts Show will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4 at the Natchez Convention Center in downtown Natchez.

Our appreciation goes out to Chairman Connie Sayers for inviting Pleasant Acre Day School to sponsor the bake sale. The local community as well as parents and friends of the students donate cakes, cookies, pies, casseroles, bread, chili and gumbo. This is a great time to stock your freezer for the holidays while supporting a worthy cause.

The proceeds from the bake sale will go toward the school’s return to the Mississippi Arts Fair for the Handicapped in 2008. In June, the students had a unique experience when their teachers Mary Ann Foggo-Eidt and Judy Grimsley accompanied them to Hot Springs, Ark. These trips are exciting events for the students and provide opportunities they may not otherwise have.
