ROXIE – Services for Jessie Mae Rogers, 83, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Springhill Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Bonds Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rogers was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ned and Josephine Graves.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sugar Hugh Rogers; a daughter, Idella Rogers; two grandchildren; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Henry Rogers, Willie Joe Rogers, L.V. Rogers and Roosevelt Rogers, all of Roxie and Gary Rogers and wife, Cynthia, both of Gloster; daughters, Linda Norman, Katie Thomas, Leonia Webster and husband, David, all of Roxie, Florence Logan and husband, Henry, both of Natchez; grandson, who she raised, Dwight Rogers and wife, Pam, both of Roxie; a devoted stepson, Bennie Joe White of Roxie; sister, Julia Mae Griffin of Natchez; 34 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was a faithful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all. She will be missed; her memories will be forever cherished.
