NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) — Navy investigators are trying to determine what caused a training jet to crash at the Acadiana Regional Airport Thursday.
Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected from the aircraft before the crash. Their names were not released.
Lt. Sean Robertson, a spokesman for chief of naval air training out of Corpus Christi, Texas, said investigations will focus on finding the cause and safety-related issues.
The T-45A Goshawk jet was returning to Naval Air Station Kingsville in Texas from a training mission off the Florida coast.
