Write congress to grant Delta Queen waiver

I know you are all familiar with the steamboat, Delta Queen, which visits Natchez on several of her cruises. Now the Delta Queen needs our help. Congress must pass a waiver before next year, which allows the Delta Queen to continue to steam the rivers of America. Without the waiver the Delta Queen will be dry-docked.
The Delta Queen is an 81-year-old original paddle wheel steamboat, the last of its kind in America. She is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and is proclaimed a National Landmark. She has steamed our rivers as a cruise boat for over 60 years with a perfect safety record.
To lose this American treasure would be a tragedy.
I am writing to ask the Natchez citizens to please write to your U.S. representative and U.S. senators, asking them to grant the necessary waiver for this beautiful piece of American history.
You can read all about the effort which is ongoing to save the Delta Queen in this article from the New York Times 10/25/2007: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/25/us/25delta.html?_r=3&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin or visit this Web site: http://www.save-the-delta-queen.org/ or watch this video of the Delta Queen on the river:
