TWENTY YEARS AGO — With only two starters returning from last year’s team, including center Vernell Singleton, South Natchez head coach Mike Martin says the Colonels will have something to prove this season.

TEN YEARS AGO — Both the Natchez High Bulldogs and the Ferriday Trojans will be taking on familiar opponents in the first round of the playoffs. Natchez will host Gulfport and Ferriday will host Springhill.
