Clarkston joins Democrat

NATCHEZ — Justin Clarkston has joined the retail advertising sales team at Natchez Newspapers, publishers of The Natchez Democrat, Miss-Lou Buyers Guide and

In his new role, Clarkston will provide customer service and marketing expertise for retail businesses in the Natchez downtown area. In addition, he’ll coordinate the publication of Natchez Visitors Guide, which is distributed locally at tourist locations and at state welcome centers around Mississippi.

“We’re excited to have Justin work with us,” said Kevin Cooper, Democrat publisher. “His enthusiasm and professionalism are infectious and he’s excited by the opportunity to help hometown businesses grow their bottom lines by using the best advertising source in the Miss-Lou.”

Clarkston, a Natchez native, earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from the University of Memphis in 2004. He’s a 1997 graduate of Adams County Christian School.

He comes to Natchez Newspapers after working for approximately two years for Coca-Cola Enterprises.

He and his wife, Angela, have two sons, Ayden and Ethan. The family resides in Natchez.
