Gloria Ezell

VIDALIA – Services for Gloria Jean Ezell, 62, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Tulane Medical Center, in New Orleans, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, in Vidalia, with the Rev. James Washington officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Ezell was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Vidalia, the daughter of Clevian Womble and Emma Lee Ezell White. She was a retired postal clerk with 28 years of service. Miss Ezell served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from March 1964 to March 1967.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kelvin Hamilton; and brother, Howard Ezell.

Survivors include her daughter, Jermeice Ezell; grandsons, Jermaine and Jared Glen; sisters, Glenda White, Patricia Fleming and Bessie Chatman and husband, Lawrence, all of Vidalia, Arlene Payne and husband, James, both of Natchez and Carolyn Allen and husband, Willie, both of Houston; brothers, Samuel White and wife, Made, both of Vidalia, Glenn White of Tacoma, Wash., Carl White of Jacksonville, Fla. and Erwin of Natchez; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
