Gibson takes BBA competition in Jonesville

The Borderline Bass Anglers had their last 2007 event Nov. 10 on Bushley Bayou just north of Jonesville in foggy calm 63-73 degree air.
The cloudy, calm day produced 65 keepers with four limits and zips for the 20 members plus five guests.
Winner Steve Gibson of Harrisonburg had a five bass limit weighing 12.55 pounds including the knockout 5.40 lunker on jigs.
Ricky Gillespie of Ferriday grabbed second with four for 9 pounds on jigs while third was Bill Murray of Vidalia with five for 8.35 on plastics.
Others with fish were: guest Bo Barfoot (five for 7.65 on spinnerbaits), Bob Holland (five for 6.80), guest Trae Ladner (four for 4.90), Buddy Smith (four for 4.25), Donny Chapman (four for 3.90), Bobby Hall (two for 3.85), Joey Chapman (four for 3.75), Scott Smith (two for 3.50), guest Caleb Chapman (three for 2.95), Charlie Brister (three for 2.85), Sam Hudson (three for 2.70), Clifton Chapman (three for 2.60), Terry Grant (two for 2.15), Wally Smith (two for 1.90), Wayne Dolittle (1.80), Barry Chapman (1.25), Phillip Harper (1.05) and Ed Stone III (1.00) .
Also fishing were Ed Reeves, Richard Hess, guest Billie Reeves, Doug Schexnayder and Ed Stone.
Crouch wins DBC event
The Dixie Bass Club of Natchez had its November event on a 62-65 degree Toledo Bend near Hemphill, Texas near Bridge Bay Resort.
The 13 anglers fished hard to weigh 37 bass with three limits and one zip (14 inch minimum) despite the foggy morning.
Albert Crouch won easily with a five bass limit for 10.39 pounds while Charlie Cannon landed an 8.17 limit as runnerup.
Third was senior citizen Paul Foster with three for 8.12 which included the 4.37 lunker.
Buster Martinez (five for 7.83) was fourth while Randy Pitre (four for 7.60) took fifth.
Others with fish were: Glen Foster (four for 7.41), Ronny Douglas (three for 5.16), Alan Brumfield (two for 4.25), Terrell Foster (two for 3.85), Johnny Davis (two for 3.69), Allen Blanton (2.28) and Henry Butler (2.13). Also fishing was Terrell Jones.
Jordan wins RCBC tourney
The River City Bass Club of Natchez blasted off at safe daylight from Lake Bruin with 12 fishermen on a very foggy Nov. 10 morning.
Doug Jordan won the tournament with a five fish limit weighing 13.05.
Second place was Jimmy June with a 12.12 limit and big bass (3.10).
Andy McDaniel came in third with 10.09 while Carol Ray Huff followed with 10 pounds.
