A “must read” for all history buffs is the new book by Jim Barnett, “The Natchez Indians A History to 1735.”

I bought it to learn more about the time when our city (and surrounding area) was the domain of the intriguing Natchez, but discovered in chapter one that this reads like a suspense novel and is hard to put down.

Each time I look over the Mississippi River or drive the paths they once followed, I can take a step back into history. This is a book you will want to treasure in your library.
