Louis Tensley

ATCHEZ – Services for Louis Tensley, 73, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, 589 U.S. Highway 61 North, with the Rev. Calvin Blake Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow, in Gloster, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Tensley was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Port Gibson, the son of Charlie Sr. and Mable Gilmore Tensley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his children, Joe Louis Tensley, the Rev. Charlie Tensley and wife, Gloria, the Rev. Eddie Tensley and wife, Princess, Jerry Tensley and wife, Santita, the Rev. Dexter Tensley and wife, LaWanda, Mable Bailey and husband, Michael, Beverly Tensley, Louis McDonald, Raymond McDonald and wife, Michelle, Debbie McQuarters and husband, Tim, and Louis Brown and wife, Almeter; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
