ROLLING FORK — Services for Charlotte Wheeler Poché Martin, 91, of Anguilla, who died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at Magnolia House, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Craig Gates officiating.
Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Homes.
Visitation will be at the church at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Martin was born Feb. 19, 1916 in Delta City, the daughter of Ella Wheeler Poché and W.C. Gill Sr.
She was a homemaker, living most of her life in Anguillla, and a member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, alter guild member, member of the Women of the Church and for many years chairman of the memorial fund.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lewis Ernest Martin Jr.; sister Lucille P. Smith; brother Woodberry C. Gill Jr.; stepsisters Myrna G. Dobrowsky, Lottie G. Preston and Evelyn G. Oaksford; stepbrothers Lloyd C. Gill Sr., Nelson Gill and Fredrick Gill.
Survivors include daughters Charlotte M. Searcy and husband, Thomas, both of Pascagoula, and Nancy M. Kimbrell and husband Scott, both of Natchez; grandchildren J. Thomas Searcy and his wife Melisa, Elizabeth S. Brushaber, T. Scott Kimbrell Jr. and wife, Carrie, and Martin T. Kimbrell; great-grandchildren Amie D. Brushaber, W. Layne Brushaber, Thomas Lloyd Searcy and Callie C. Kimbrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Ewing, Tommy Ewing, Martin Kimbrell, Scott Kimbrell Jr., William Moore and Russell Stewart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ike Collins, Frank Corban, Phillip Kline, Roy McCoy, John Thomas Searcy and L.T. Wade Jr.
