NATCHEZ — A Ferriday woman was charged Friday with accessory after the fact in connection with an October murder.

Trenice Marie Johnson, 33, 100 Kyle Road, Apt. C, Ferriday, allegedly helped accused murderer Tyrone Lacaze after he allegedly shot at a man outside an Adams County apartment complex more than 30 times.

Lacaze was arrested Nov. 29 on charges of murder. He is also wanted for two Houston murders.

Johnson allegedly housed and helped Lacaze, Adams County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Maj. Jody Waldrop said Saturday.

“She was the one whose apartment he was at (when U.S. Marshals found him),” Waldrop said. “We had information she was involved in assisting him to leave the area and also to return shortly after Thanksgiving.”

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office charged Johnson by warrant filed Friday, Waldrop said.

“She was picked up by Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and waived extradition and was transported to Adams County,” he said.

Johnson was held Saturday at the Adams County jail on $250,000 bond. She is being held for Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

No bond was set for Lacaze at his arraignment Friday.

Johnson is the second to be charged with accessory after the fact in connection with Lacaze. Antwine King, 18, was also charged with accessory earlier this month.
