Natchez — Natchez Police responded to two burglary reports last week, but no spree has arisen, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.

Burglary reports were filed from one house on Commerce Street and one house on Orleans Street. In both cases, the suspect entered the house through an unlocked door while the residents were sleeping and stole small items.

Mullins said there were no burglaries reported this weekend, despite some rumors going around town.
