MEADVILLE – Services for Carl Louis Booker, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Cox officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery, in Meadville, under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Booker was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Bude, the son of Hardy Booker and Lottie Montgomery. He was retired from Mississippi Forestry. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and two brothers.

Survivors include a son, Louis Booker of Natchez; daughter, Karen Phillips of Greenville; sisters, Madelene Carter and Lola Alexander, both of Meadville, Irene Brewer of Natchez and Morene Sumerall of Vicksburg; special niece and nephew, Susan and Raymond Bonnette, both of Natchez.
