RICHLAND — Services for Sue Maxwell Brent, 76, of Florence, who died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel, in Richland, with Dr. Gene Gillis officiating.
Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, in Richland, under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brent was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Bogue Chitto, the daughter of the Rev. Thomas Henry Maxwell and Elizabeth Brister Maxwell. She was a member of Cleary Baptist Church, in Florence, where she greatly enjoyed her “joy” Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Boyce Shirley Brent; and daughter, Linda Brent Clark.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Brent and wife, Yvette, both of Pearl and Donald Brent and wife, Linda, both of Florence; son-in-law, Noel Clark of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren, Travis Brent and wife, Samantha, of Charlotte, N.C., Heather Brent of Natchez, Michael Brent and Donna Brent Nicholson and husband, Clint, all of Florence, Elizabeth Clark of Panama City, Fla. and James Clark of Virginia; brothers, Tom Maxwell of Austin, Texas and Glyn Maxwell of Woodville; and sister, Ruth Maxwell Guyton of McComb.
The family request memorials be made to the building fund of Cleary Baptist Church, Florence.
