NATCHEZ — Services for Eloise H. Harris, 75, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris was born July 7, 1932, in Natchez, the daughter of Clara Freeman and Frank Holmes.

She was retired from Natchez Pecan and Shelling Co. and was a Baptist.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Harris; sister, Eliza D. Johnson; brothers, Levi Dunbar, Clay Wilkins, Grant Dunbar and Walter Sanders; and a son, David A. Holmes.

Survivors include daughter, Vera Smoot of Natchez; sons, John Holmes and Levander Holmes, both of Natchez and Christopher Washington and wife, Blanca, both of Dallas; brothers, James “Mud” and wife, Ruby Wilkins, both of Natchez and Willie H. and wife, Neveda Holmes, both of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
