Aubrey Layne Tiffee

FERRIDAY-Funeral services for Aubrey Layne Tiffee, 80, who died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eva Church of God, with the Revs. Kevin Sims, Gordon Finley, Russell Crum and Lloyd Trisler officiating.

The family will receive friends at Eva Church of God from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday.

Internment will follow at Arthur Asher Tiffee Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Tiffee was born April 3, 1927, in Eva, the son of Mary Aurelia and Arthur Asher Tiffee. He was a lifelong resident of Monterey, a farmer, and a lifelong member of Eva Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter; Chloe Swingley Cross, parents; Mary and Arthur Asher Tiffee, sister; Norma Natalie Pecanty, brother; Jack Tiffee, brother; M.A. Tiffee, sister; Mary Wanda Scleet.

Survivors include wife of 57 years; Winnie Tiffee of Monterey, daughter; Judy Tiffee Cross of Monterey, son; Tommy Tiffee and wife; Kelly of Monterey, grandchildren; Alison Brewer, Hartwell Layne Tiffee, Brandie Tiffee, Claire Cross and Tom Tiffee, sister; Dixie Crum of Ferriday, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Ray Pecanty, Nolan Tiffee, Jay Tiffee, Terry Layne Tiffee, Ronnie Crum, Joe Young, T.D. Pugh and Henry King.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Leo Boothe Gene Wayne Tiffee, Jason Tiffee, Ritchie Tiffee, Randy Maxwell, Dave Yarbrough, Randy Ward, Rusty Crum, Rudy Kruger, Warren J. Holland, Billie Joe Ratcliff, W.L. Paul, Terry Guillory, Charles Gray, Walter Brown and Tommy Millican.
